About Letty

 I am proud of the work we have done for our community. As your Mayor and Councilwoman, I have actively worked to build a strong community, support our public safety departments, provide safe and clean parks, and strengthen our finances. 

In the last few years, we have:

• Added an additional 10 police officers to reinforce our department in order to better protect our neighborhoods.
• Approved the installed Flock camera system that has helped recover stolen vehicles and catch criminals.
• Voted and supported the upgrade of all fire personnel equipment, renovation of all fire stations, and purchase of type 3 fire engine.
• Strengthened City finance with the current budget operating at a surplus.
• Approved the refinancing of our $204 million retirement nonfunded liability from 7% to 3.7%, saving the city millions.
• Approved renovations at all 16 parks.
• Approved housing projects that feature a first-time homebuyer down payment assistance program and added approximately 123 new housing units. More on the way.
• Added an additional 10 public works and 10 code enforcement staff to help clean our streets, graffiti, parks, and public areas.

This is only the beginning. We have done so much great work and I plan to continue to build an even stronger community.
